Hi all,
I guess it’s been a challenging year for everyone especially me.
I hope that with the coming of the new year, 2010, things will start to look up for most, if not all of us!
Have not been blogging much this year I must add but hope to spend a bit more time here in 2010.
HOWEVER, keep your questions coming to my email address (steven@arowana-care.com) as I will continue to answer all your personal questions. However, moving forward, if I find your questions can benefit the wider arowana hobbyist community, I will post it here on the blog.
Again, have a Great Christmas day and 2010 ahead. May the new year usher in health, wealth and personal prosperity to all.
Cheers and take care.
Steven
hello STEVE ,long time not hear from you.i wish you will have all the best in this year 2010.i also have a question hopefully that You can help.i have a fish tank 6foot long 2foot wideand 2.5foot height.the trouble i have is that the nitrate used to be around 30-40 mg/L.and my filter is wet and dry side 40 cm height . 40cm wide and 60cm long .some friend of my said that it is too small for the arowana tank . in your experience how big do you think is that my filter shoud be.I only got 1 aro and 1 siemy tiger .
I hope that will receive your advice soon
thank you very much in advance

Lienha,
It is fine if you change water often enough so that the nitrate buildup does not affect your fish. But I guess you should add a larger filter system. Do you also have bioballs or ceramic rings for the beneficial bacterias to build up and grow on? This is important to control the nitrates level..
