There is a lot involved in starting a breeding farm. Investment is also heavy as you cannot have one pond and expects it to breed. (unless you are VERY lucky. ) Think carefully before taking the plunge ok.

I never really wash my bio balls but I definitely change the cotton sponges. The bio balls are where the beneficial bacteria would thrive in, hence I never wash them..

One word of advise about insects. I think those that you buy from aquarium shops as feed is fine but if you caught them yourself, then just be mindful where they could have been to before you caught them. For example, if youcaught roaches, they could be tainted with insecticides which is bad for your arowana… Just be aware of this.

I think you raise a good point here.. If you have ensured that the water is ‘good’ but your arowana is still feeling lethargic, then you should look at other areas like pH. Good point.. Thanks..

you really provide a hell lot of useful information here. I always have interest in this fish, it swims so elegance.

I understand this question had been asked many times before, but i would like to know if i can start a breeding farm at Sabah, Malaysia? where should i start off? how can i find those useful information for running a breeding farm? where can i find the breed needed?

i’m very interested on how you started all this….
