Hi all,
I’ve been putting this off for awhile but thought this is as good a time as any to share with you. I’ve received many emails as well as several request on this blog about where to purchase arowanas. I’m going to share with you where you can actually get some very good quality gold cross back arowanas.
This farm that I’m involved with has been producing some excellent quality arowanas which I’m proud to share with you. Some of the arowanas really look like gold bars!
I just brought 3 gold arowanas home yesterday actually!
I’ll share with you in the next blog post on how to bring new arowanas home and put into your tanks. This should be another interesting post for those buying new ones soon.
Nice eh?
If you are interested, you can write to sales@panglong.com.sg . If you are in Singapore, I would also suggest that you go down to the farm to have a look.
For those looking for red arowanas, unfortunately we don’t have many as they are much harder to breed. IMHO, good reds are mostly from Indonesia. Malaysia and Singapore have a harder time breeding them.

Steven
I agree 100% with this. Koji from Panglong frequents the same online forum I do, and he has shared many pictures of Panglong arowanas there. I must admit their arowanas just look amazing, and Koji exudes a very high degree of professionalism, attitude and knowledge. Their absolute goldens and diablo reds are just on another level. Looking forward to your next update.
Ray

Hi steven, thanks for the wonderful pics. Sadly,x backs are too pricey 4 me. I just got an rtg a month back since this one is by far the best aro i can afford. Most asian aros in the market here in the philippines come from either qian hu or imperial aro farm. Hope these are excellent aro farms too.
recently i just got a goldenforehead x bck frm Pang long thru an arowana farm frm Msia,a gift frm me to my beloved wifey.:)
Hi steven
all i can say is WOW!!!! Amazing Arowanas i like the yellow one… how i wish to have one. Im from the philippines, and you know what? arowanas are quiet expensive here…
Dear Stephen….how much does each cost??
Nice to see young arowanas, I’ll visit the farm in the future. Nice to know we have some hobbyist fro the Philippines.

Dear sir,
thanks for posting,
I must say they are Excellent golden arowanas.
I have got a 11″ long chilli red arowana who is not eating for the last 10 days and seems to be frightened and sits in one corner many times a day he has no visual infection on his body and tail. i put up the heater at 30 degrees and put rock salt and then put furon-g medicine in the tank but there is no improvement. i put some small gold fishes but the is chasing them but not eating. someone told me to put metrogel 400 tablets in the tank of size 4′ x 1’6″ x 1′-6″ pl. guide me how he will improve and start eating.
pl. help its urgent, b.k.rege, 25.04.2010.
if you want to buy golden arowanas i can help you to get the money
Any trade in from my Supreme Chili red to XB?
Hiya Steven,
Sorry, but I don’t think they’ll allow any of those beautiful arrowana’s into Hawaii-I’d love to have a red or golden one but alas you can see my predicament.-It was nice to see them though, they are all so beautiful.

Hi all,
If you want to know the prices or how to bring into your respective countries, please write to sales@panglong.com.sg and they will be able to help you.
Steven
bilwamangal,
Please change the water first… Always start with this and don’t use medication so easily.. Medication is always a last resort..
Steven
Aravindh,
That is probably just cloudy eye syndrome. Changing the water regularly will get rid of this.
Steven
Lienha,
Does you red have a droopy eye?
Steven

Dear Steve, It has been a while that we interacted. I am sure your golden lovelies (that you had at home) might have turned into beautiful treasures. I have (or rtaher had) a beautiful 13 inches long Silver Arowana. I changed the water in the pot (admeasuring 6 feet X 3 feet X 1.5 feet) on 22nd this month; after nearly 21 days. The appetite of it gradually decreased but nothing significant. Yesterday morning it had a decent meal. In the afternoon it looked a bit stressed; and in the evening was swimming mid – level and did not come up for the meals. It looked very much stressed and so I did not bother him much. At around 3 AM in the morning, it still greatly stressed, started going around in circles. Very soon it started turning topsy – turvy and started hitting the bottom. I immediately removed it from the pot, put it in a hospital tank measuring 3 feet X 1.5 feet X 1 feet, added stress relieving salt, Ridall Red, and Arowana Internal Bacteria Away (from Oceanfree – 1ml for every 10 litres of tank capacity). At around 11 in the morning it looked slightly better, but since afternoon it has deteriorated. Now it is nearly vertical, head down, breathing very shallow; and looks like not being able to negotiate even the night.
I have given such a detailed description so that you can pinpoint my mistake. I do not use any filters as I feel that it makes the water turbid. I siphon off around 5/6th of water every 15 days. This time I missed it by 1 week and changed the water after 15 days. Please advice whether there is anything wrong with it.
Nagpur in India is experiencing very variable climate. It is monsoon and 1 day is cold and rainy; while the other is dry and hot. Whether this had anything to do with the condition. Please advice.
Good Night Steve
Sachin,
You must change more often.
Great temperature changes can cause fishes to be more succeptoble to infection. This could be one reason. The other reason is that you do not have filters in it. Even with filters, I change water at least once every 2 weeks.
Steven
Bhavik,
I can’t comment as I’m not an expert in Feng Shui unfortunately. You should consult an expert… Sorry I can’t help you.
Steven
Raj,
Like I say, drop and email to sales@panglong.com.sg or you can just visit the Pang Long Farm..
Steven
Juhmar,
Pls write to sales@panglong.com.sg to enquire about prices. They do ship to the Philippines but I think not in small quantities though.
Steven
Thayalan,
Maybe better if you come down yourself as they don’t ship in small quantities.
Steven
Lienha,
Droopy eye is a cosmetic problem and is not fatal. As for the jaw issue, this I believe is genetic. Sorry.
Steven
hi steven
thanks for beauty arowana photo please let me know price
