Terence,
You need to cycle your tank well before you put your fish in. So things like bio-bacteria is good to help build up that 'good tank of water'. Vitamin is good as well . no harm using it.

Training them to eat dry food is also good not just for the reason that you stated but also for your own sanity because sometimes you are not able to buy the live food on time!

Hi

I am a new kid on the block when it comes to keeping Arowana ... The first Arowana I bought 4 months ago was a RTG. Since this is an expensive fish, I thought I better try with some no so expensive one.

About a month later, I saw a Super Red Arowana from Wajok and I fell in love with it. Guess what I bought it !!!

Now, I have been frequently visiting the fish farm in pasir ris farm, rainbow in Serangoon to buy fish food, books, ketapang leaves etc ... one of the thing the shop owner recommended was bio-bateria and complex vitamin for the Arowana to enhance the colour. They also recommended some dried food for arowana b'cos fresh frog, prawns and super worm may bring disease.

Do these stuff help ??? Just curious

Pls help, my red arowana bite tail recently.

The thing I have did as belong:

1. Cut 2/3 of the tail and put yellow power.

2.I off the filter pump and redue to water by 60% and always do 1/3 of wc.

3.The funny thing was, when the tail was growing back, it bait again.
I was is it de to bad behavier or effected by unkwon backteria.

4. I even did continue madication with yellow power for 1 week with everyday change of 30% of water and re dose the medication.

5.To my observasion it due to behavior. The aro can eat as normal and the tail got grow back sign.

Kindly advice.

Thnk You.
